All the same, archeology will be part of the update, which 1.19.70.23 Beta confirmed 100%. So far, there is no exact data on all aspects of the feature, however, we already know about some of them. So, 1.20 will get a new block called suspicious sand.
It is a block of sand intended for archaeological excavations. It works with an archeological brush, brushing off layer by layer. After that, you get shards that can be combined into a pot. So far, that's all we see in this Archeology update.
Finally, the Trails & Tales Update has a confirmed new pink biome. So, it's called Cherry Grove, and it comes with new trees, planks, and blocks. In addition, there is a new pink petals flower and tweaked spawn rules for regular entities.

Christmas 2022 will probably bring us the next major update, or rather most of the announced features; it still does not have an exact name, so today it is update 1.20. And yes, some features like camels and bamboo blocks are already available as experimental items for Minecraft 1.19.50+ Betas.

Camel Features:
And here is the first new mob included in the list of confirmed features of Minecraft 1.20. It is excellent for deserts and is a good alternative to horses. You will like this mob if your main criterion is the riding feature. Find one in the desert villages and place a saddle on it to ride on.
- Two players can ride one camel
- Due to the height of the camels, mobs of normal height cannot damage the rider in melee
- Have a several seconds sprint feature
- Healable and breedable with cacti
- Can sit waiting for a while
Sniffer:
The sniffer took the second and so far the last place among the entities announced in Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.20. There are not many facts about its behavior and appearance, the development process is still ongoing. But the only thing we know for sure is that the sniffer is an ancient entity hatched from an egg.
Most likely sniffer spawn eggs can be found in underwater structures and only after that you can spawn one. True to its name, the sniffer has the ability to sniff out the seeds of ancient plants, which will probably also be included in MCPE 1.20.
Bamboo blocks:
This major update has received a ton of new bamboo blocks. In fact, they are all blocks from bamboo planks to doors and fences. Build houses from bamboo, a very strong and durable material.
Plus it has a mosaic variation that is only possible with bamboo planks.
Raft:
An equally interesting feature in Minecraft 1.20 is bamboo rafts. Technically, they are regular boats, carrying the same set of features except for the height.
Bamboo rafts can also carry chests if you want extra slots.
Hanging signs:
This type of signs has already been implemented in the form of third-party mods and addons. Now update 1.20 brings them as new items. Hanging signs can only be attached to the bottom of a block or object, in a vertical position. Use dyes to give a specific color.
Chiseled bookshelf:
Store your books (enchanted as well) on bookshelves by placing them in 6 slots. Chiseled bookshelves can be connected to redstone and used as more complex machines and mechanisms. The simple bookshelves are left unchanged.
New characters:
Are you already playing the 1.19.60 beta? Then go to the skins menu to see more new characters. In addition to the traditional Steve and Alex, Minecraft BE 1.20.0 will receive 7 more skins of the same 3D format.
