All the ores are divided into types of complexity and in order for you to find the most deep-seated ores you will need the simplest ones literally on the surface. Usually, ores can be found almost everywhere except for the rarest, which are extremely rare.
Each ore, like vanilla, has its own strength. Rare ore mining is a long process requiring a good miner pick or miner drill from other mods, such as IndustrialCraft PE Mod.
One of the purposes of the new ores are new armor sets. Consider the properties that this or that set is endowed with before crafting it.
