As a start seed is not bad for several reasons:
1) The mansion is right below you and therefore the resources are not that difficult to get to - the main thing is to run and loot quickly
2) Excellent view of the area - from the first steps you will evaluate the space around, the nearest locations and biomes
3) A safe place for a future base if you decide to build there
4) The mansion mountain has a network of caves underneath it where you will find a full set of resources for crafting and construction
