At the epicenter of the crater is the most common forest: on all sides it is surrounded by high mountains forming a ring. Getting to the center is not an easy task, which makes the crater a perfectly protected site for building a base.
Thanks to the mountains, you can build a tunnel connecting you to a nearby village. In addition, the seed invites you to see the updated ravines with underground caves, which are something really huge in Minecraft PE 1.17. There you will see many stalagmites and rocks related to 1.17.
