In the meantime, while the first beta is getting ready for release, check out the Mooshroom Mountain Island as an example of improved generation. Perhaps this will be your first island suitable for solo survival.

Firstly, it is a real island located next to the main continent. Thanks to the features of the Caves & Cliffs update, it has a realistic looking snow mountain in the center as well as its approaches. There are many trees, snow and ice lakes. This combination will provide you with the initial resources, water, and the ability to travel by boat on the sea.
Seed, however, pays attention to other islands forming a series. In addition to the snowy mountain, there is an extremely rare mushroom island. Growing giant mushrooms and mooshrooms are characteristic features of this island.
The final islands are sandy ones located nearby. These are biomes typical of hot climates with a mass of sand and turtles. Decide for yourself which of the islands is most suitable for the foundation of the base and your further survival.
