According to the information provided, the addon carries some game concept adding coronavirus as a separate entity. It can infect people and attack players by imposing negative effects.

Fighting coronavirus:
In Minecraft PE, coronavirus is a visible enemy that can be defeated not only with antiseptics and UV. Having appeared, coronavirus is activated and is looking for its first victims. As soon as the virus touches the victim, the person or player begins to experience weakness and poisoning.
To get disinfected you need a sanitizing machine. Covid-19 Addon also adds new people of different ages. As you can see, they all wear face masks, although you can infect them with a shake of the hand.
