Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.110.20 - Shelves and Golem Statue

Another update for the latest gamedrop of MC Bedrock brings new functional shelves and a Copper Golem statue. These two features are probably the main highlights, not counting the bugfixes and numerous tweaks related to the Copper Golem as well. The update is currently available only for Bedrock Edition 1.21.

Are the shelves purely decorative?

Actually, the new shelf block serves a great item storage function. You can place up to three items on a shelf in sequence - any items you can hold in your hand.



Shelves are typically used to showcase trophies to other players (especially in multiplayer) or for quick access to items when you urgently need to grab a weapon without digging through a chest.

How do shelves work in Minecraft PE?

Craft the shelves using the recipe below and attach them to a wall. After that, you can place several items on the shelves and also take them back. When powered by redstone, taking an item will instantly place all items from the shelf into your hotbar.

Copper Golem Statues:

Once fully oxidized, the Copper Golem will turn into a statue. In Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.110.20, this is implemented nicely - the golem will freeze in its final pose and stop moving entirely. You can also revive it by removing the oxidation.
