Minecraft Bedrock 26.30.31 - New Sulfur Caves

Mojang recently released new test builds numbered 26.30.29 and 26.30.31 which include changes to mobile platforms and underground world generation. There arent any new features but there are solid bug fixes and plenty of tweaks.

Cave Update:

Sulfur caves in Minecraft 26.30.31 look more detailed because more sulfur lakes now appear in them the amount of glowing lichen has decreased and the color of the grass has changed.

Exploring the updated caves is now more challenging due to changes to mob spawning as mobs no longer spawn individually but in pairs. This applies to zombies skeletons and creepers though the latter are less common. Regular spiders have been replaced by cave spiders and witches have been added though they spawn rarely.

Changes to sulfur cube behavior:

They now spawn in groups of two to four. The developers have improved server performance in Bedrock 26.30.31 when a large number of mobs gather in a single area. Additionally cubes can no longer pick up multiple items at once plus a bunch of fixes.

Cubes Interaction with Blocks and Effects:

Sulfur Cubes Absorbing Items - If a cube holds a block inside it it completely loses its vulnerability to the poison effect. Additionally cubes with blocks inside no longer hinder the player's movement while riding.

Cube properties depend on there type - Magma sulfur cubes no longer break non-Nezarite armor and shields do not protect against their damage. However the fire resistance effect protects you from magma cube attacks. If a sulfur cube containing magma comes into contact with a TNT sulfur cube it ignites.

Geysers:

The textures for sulfur and cinnabar blocks are identical to those in Java. The recipies for carved sulfur and carved cinnabar have changed. In version 26.30.29 geysers recieved unique sounds during continuous eruptions and powerful sulfur particles fly higher. For the rest of the changes see the full changelog at the link below.
