Minecraft Bedrock 26.10 - What’s New?

The latest update version 26.10, titled Tiny Takeover is now available on all platforms. And while the developers are focusing on the cute little mobs, there's much more to discover inside-details of wich are only available in the changelog itself. Let's take a look at what's new in Bedrock 26.10.

Texture Overhaul and Golden Dandelions:

The most noticeable visual change is the redesign of the small creatures' appearance. Over a hundred new textures were made for them, and now they look more realistic, though there are still some amusing moments with their armor. Helmets on their tiny heads look simply gigantic, but that's just a quirk.

Also added in 26.10 is the Golden Dandelion, if you want your pet to stay small forever. One flower stops the mob's aging, and the second one starts it again.

Copper, pipes and head-based crafting:

A new sound has been added for the note block in Minecraft Bedrock 26.10. If you place it on a copper block, it will produce a trumpet sound (or something very similar). The pitch changes depending on how oxidized the copper under the block is.

Other survival changes:

1. You can now craft name tags yourself (you need paper and any ore).
2. Name tags are also available from the Wandering Trader.
3. The Stonemason can now turn regular stone into cobblestone and deepslate into all its variations (bricks, slabs, etc.) directly.

Smart furnaces and navigation:

A recipe book for furnaces has been added to Minecraft PE 26.10. The interface shows options and groups them by block type, showing what goes into the smelter and what goes into the furnace.

An Identify Block feature has also been added. In the settings, you can assign a key (e.g. "="), and when you hover over any object the game will display its name on the screen, similar to WAILA.

Boats and other fixes:

The physics for boats and horses are responsive again. There wont be that laggy feeling anymore. We've also tweaked zombie horses-now they dont burn in water and aren't afraid of the sun.

In Hardcore mode, we've added a nice detail: a counter showing the number of days lived. There's also a new option in the settings to automatically pause the game when the window is minimized and you can turn it off.
