Elytra Barrel Roll Mod for Minecraft Bedrock 26.X+ (+Win)

Your camera and player model now smoothly bank into turns, pull off full barrel rolls and handle sharp maneuvers with realistic momentum.

Controls:

You can fly using a mouse and keyboard or a controller with analog sticks. On Android via LeviLauncher, the mod provides customizable onscreen touch controls. Everything is fully configurable, from swapping pitch and yaw to inverting vertical look and adjusting mouse smoothing. Flight mode also automatically disengages whenever you enter water.

Instruments & Jet Thrust:

For better navigation, you can toggle an artificial horizon and a momentum widget right on your HUD. The mod also features an optional jet thrust mode that accelerates you forward with a smoke trail, no fireworks required. However, because Bedrock relies on server-authoritative movement, using thrust on remote servers will cause severe rubber-banding unless the server has the companion plugin installed (links below).

PC Installation (Minecraft Bedrock for Windows):

- Requires LeviLamina 26.51.6 for game version 1.26.51.01 (check release links for compatibility updates).

1. Download Do-A-Barrel-Roll-Bedrock-client-windows-x64.zip.

2. Extract the DoABarrelRoll folder directly into your game's mods/ directory.

Android (Phones & Tablets):

- Requires LeviLauncher and Minecraft Bedrock version 26.52.

1. Install and launch LeviLauncher.

2. Import the DoABarrelRoll.levipack package into the launcher

3. Enable the mod in the mod menu.

Configuration Guide:

On first launch, a config file is generated at mods/DoABarrelRoll/config/config.json

Physics & Flight Behavior:

• "general.controls.activation_behaviour": How flight mode activates. Options: VANILLA (triggers upon deploying elytra), TRIPLE_JUMP, HYBRID, or HYBRID_TOGGLE.

• "general.controls.invert_pitch": Inverts vertical pitch controls. Set to true for flight-simulator style (pulling back pitches up).

• "general.controls.switch_roll_and_yaw": Swaps the roll and yaw axes (true / false).

• "general.controls.momentum_based_mouse": Enables momentum and inertia for mouse steering.

• "general.controls.disable_when_submerged": Automatically disables flight mode underwater (Default: true).

Banking & Auto-Righting:

• "general.banking.enable_banking": Enables automatic roll tilt when turning (Default: true).

• "general.banking.banking_strength": Adjusts the angle and intensity of turns (Default: 20.0).

• "general.banking.automatic_righting": Automatically levels wings parallel to the ground (Default: false).

Thrust Settings:

• "general.thrust.enable_thrust": Enables built-in forward propulsion without fireworks (Default: false).

• "general.thrust.max_thrust": Maximum allowed thrust speed (Default: 2.0).

• "general.thrust.thrust_acceleration": Rate of acceleration (Default: 0.1).

• "general.thrust.thrust_particles": Emits smoke particles behind the player while thrusting (Default: true).

HUD Elements:

- "general.hud.show_horizon": Toggles the artificial horizon and momentum widget for easier spatial orientation (Default: false).

For Server Owners (BDS + LeviLamina):

Because Bedrock uses server-authoritative movement, using client-side thrust without the matching server module will trigger rubber-banding. The server plugin synchronizes movement and allows clients to fly smoothly.

Server Installation:

1. Ensure your Bedrock Dedicated Server is running LeviLamina 26.51.6 (server).

2. Unpack Do-A-Barrel-Roll-Bedrock-server-windows-x64.zip into the server's root folder so that plugins/DoABarrelRoll exists.

Server Configuration (plugins/DoABarrelRoll/config/config.json):

• "allowThrusting" (Default: false): Allows conected players to use built-in thrust. The server will accept the client's position instead of snapping them back.

• "maxThrustSpeed" (Default: 8.0): Maximum client velocity accepted per tick (set to 0 for unlimited).

• "forceEnabled" (Default: false): Forces the mod's flight physics on for all connected players who have the mod installed (operators bypass this rule).

• "forceInstalled" (Default: false): Useful for Elytra racing servers - automatically kicks players who do not have the client mod installed.

• "installedTimeout" (Default: 400): How many ticks to wait for the client handshake before kicking when forceInstalled is enabled.
