This Simple Dynamic Lighting differs from the Dynamic Lights PE Addon in that it is a simpler script component designed for Minecraft 1.20 and later. Thanks to some technical changes in the latest game updates, it has become possible to use diffused light on objects held in the hand. And it doesn't cause lag.

Similar to the older Dynamic Lights, this one makes vanilla items emit light. Of course, this only works with the objects emitting light in a static position: torches, glowing stone, lighthouse and others.
Now holding the torch in your hand emits light around you, illuminating your path. It also works with other lit items, which is very convenient in mines. Even when you are at home at night, simply take out a torch where it is dark instead of placing them in your path.
Plus, Simple Dynamic Lighting contains a set of candles similar to the default ones. Holding one in your hand imitates the light of a torch.
