The creator of that add-on did not sit idle and came up with a new one called SweetFoods. It adds 9 very tasty types of food to MCPE 1.12.0.3 and newer, but it's not that simple.

Food description:
BISCUIT - Biscuit provides normal taste, a little bit plain tasting but is used for making cones in your favorite Ice Creams!
CAKE PIECE - Cake too big for your hand to hold and eat? Then try to slice it for your needs! With total of 6 slices in a cake, you can easily eat cakes without needing to place it! Still the same, restores 2 hunger per slice.
CHOCOLATE BAR - The Original Sweetness! It may not restore that much hunger than most foods, but its tasty looking anyway.
CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM - Made from your handmade chocolate recipe. Add an ice cream cone, refrigirate with Ice - equivalent to your Ice Cream needs!
FLOUR - An Ingredient used for making other SweetFoods. Crafted from Wheat, this Flour can be made!
ICE CREAM CONE - Purely made from Biscuits, reshaped to finest cone-shaped!
MILK BOTTLE - Seperates One Milk Bucket into eight equal bottle containers.
STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM - Created from the new and original Minecraft Sweet Berries! This Strawberry flavor shall also blend in!
