Minecraft Bedrock 26.70.21 - Packed Ice Bricks & Portable Jukebox

26.70.21 is here and available on all platforms. So what's new in this Bedrock version? Basically, there are only two new features, but everyone will love them. The first is packed ice, which you can use to build amazing things, and the second is ambient sounds for the new ice.

Packed Ice Bricks:

Minecraft Bedrock 26.70.21 adds a set of packed ice brick blocks. You can use them to build a new decorative set including slabs, stairs, walls and a carved version with a frosty pattern.

Unlike regular ice in MCPE, the blue bricks dont melt near torches or campfires, making them ideal for home decor. So far, in the 26.70.21 preview, the blocks aren't slippery underfoot and can be broken by hand just like a chunk of dirt.

Sounds of Frost Caves:

Ice formations above water produce echoes and the sounds of footsteps and breaking solid and blue ice have been separated from the sound of breaking glass, so they now have their own audio effects.

Brittle ice over cracks in ice caves now collapses. At the same time, the base damage of ice projectiles has been increased to two points but the longer a projectile flies and loses speed, the weaker its impact becomes.

Mob Behavior and Java Balance in 26.70.21:

In underground glaciers, summoning cows, pigs, chickens and frogs immediately produces their northern variants, and wither skeletons have learned to pick up ice projectiles. Polar bears, stray and snow golems are now immune to freezing.

A Pocket Player for Hikes:

A portable player, a recording machine and blank discs have been added. A press can be crafted at the crafting table to cut background tracks onto a blank disc; the color of the disc's core and the player's casing can be changed using dyes. It can hold up to twenty of these homemade tracks. These aren't all the changes in Minecraft PE 26.70.21, but they are the main ones.
