Minecraft Bedrock 26.30.20 / 26.30.21 - Sulfur Spikes & Cave Update

Version 26.30.20 also known as 26.30.21 was released an hour ago, with sulfur caves taking center stage. Mojang decided to make them more dangerous and visually striking by adding a new type of spike. Now, let's take a closer look at the main features.

Sulfur spikes:

Now, in caves you can come across sulfur spikes that grow on sulfur or cinnabar deposits. They grow both from above as stalactites and from below as stalagmites. If you connect several of them, you'll get a long spike. The main safety rule in Bedrock 26.30.20 is that you can walk on them safely but if a stalactite falls down, you'll take significant damage.

Changes to generation and inventory:

Caves in Minecraft Bedrock 26.30.20 have been updated to look more varied, as granite and tuff have been added between sulfur deposits and the clusters of spikes themselves are slightly more compact.

• New types of bricks and blocks have been moved to the construction category.
• The bucket containing the sulfur cube has been moved to join the other buckets
• Different types of walls are now grouped in the corresponding tab.

Sulfur cube update:

The sulfur cube's appearance has been updated, and its health has been reduced to 8 points. It no longer gets stuck when blocks are removed and it responds correctly to taps when moving if youre playing on mobile. New sounds have also been added for absorbing and ejecting blocks.

Cube sound effects:

Now, each type of sulfur ball has its own unique impact sounds. The jump and landing sounds for sulfur and cinnabar blocks were reworked in version 26.30.21 and subtitles now display correctly. For the full changelog including bug fixes and other changes, see the link below.
