Minecraft Bedrock 26.10.23 - Updated Baby Mobs

The latest beta version of Minecraft PE, numbered 26.10.23, brings a set of visual tweaks and interesting gameplay details. Mojang has seriously improved the appearance of mobs and added new ways to interact with the enviroment. Below is a brief overview, but in a nutshell this Minecraft Bedrock 26.10.23 update is definetly worth downloading.

Mob updates in 26.10.23:

The first thing that kicks off drop 1 is the redesign of the baby models. Zombies, piglins, drowned, and villagers now look different in their child versions. New proportions and textures have been applied to make them look more like little villagers and there's a full article about this on minecraft.net. In addition, all humanoids now have separate armor models and items in their hands no longer shrink to microscopic sizes.

Minor changes have also been made to animals: chickens now have symmetrical stripes on their texture, British Shorthair cats have corrected coloring and adult horses have updated spots to match those of foals. These are minor tweaks, but still nice to see.

Music and new block features:

The copper block can now be used as a musical instrument. If you place a note block on it, it will produce the sound of a trumpet. Also, the golden dandelion can no longer be fertilized with bone meal but now it can be used to craft suspicious soup and yellow dye. If you throw such a flower on the ground it will distract a piglin or be picked up by a Wandering Trader.

Technical fixes and interface:

For those who play on a keyboard or controller, a Describe function has been added and now a hotkey will tell you which block or mob is in front of you in text or voice. In Hardcore worlds you can display the day counter right on the main screen, although previously this was done using add-ons for Minecraft Bedrock 26 which can be downloaded from the link.

Graphics: In Vibrant Visuals mode, fixed the lighting of items in your hands and added static shadows for chests, beds and signs. Also fixed an old bug that sometimes caused villagers to sleep on the floor next to their beds instead of in them. The rest of the changes are in the full changelog at the link.
