If you did not know, bamboo can be grown as well as other plants in Minecraft in huge quantities so that you have enough of it for a long time. There are currently not many bamboo usage in MCPE 1.8, but there will be more of them in the next update expected this year.
Having obtained bamboo you can make scaffolding necessary for the construction of tall buildings and also use bamboo as feed for tamed pandas. This farm will give you as much bamboo as you need for hundreds of pandas. The farm is automated which means that you do not need to do almost anything except opening the chests.
Probably Minecraft BE 1.9 will expand the scope of bamboo and you can craft bamboo doors, slabs, stairs and other building materials.
