When the world becomes too monotonous, the Stone Pebbles mod, or more accurately the Stone Pebbles add-on will add small pebbles that appear on the surface, in caves, in other dimensions, and basically everywhere. What to do with them and why are they there? You can collect them, throw them, place them, and use them in decoration. See below for more details.

Collecting:
1.Approach a pebble and break it with your hand to get a pebble of the corresponding type.
2.Some pebbles are rarer; look for them in special biomes or undergrounds.
Throwing: they act like snowballs but deal dmg to mobs. There's a chance the pebble will come back after hitting the target.
You can place one, two or three pebbles at a time. Pebbles turn towards the player when placed and also work underwater without blocking the flow. When creating decorative paths, try to combine different types of pebbles; theres enough of them here.
From block to pebbles:
Any stone block can be broken into pebbles.
Pebbles in placeable:
1, 2, or 3 pebbles on the crafting table makes the placeable version.
Overworld: Stone Pebbles everywhere
Granite, Diorite, Andesite: stone biomes and caves
Deepslate Pebbles: below Y = 0
Tuff Pebbles: rare underground variants
Desert and Mesa:
Sandstone Pebbles: deserts
Red Sandstone Pebbles: Mesa
Nether: Basalt and Blackstone rare spots
Netherrack: everywhere
The End: Endstone Pebbles cover the surface
