The main reason why Hidwoods was created is the new biomes. There are several biomes generated naturally like vanilla and you can end up there without even thinking about the search. Strange trees and plants grow there, and animals belong to those rare types that cannot be seen anywhere else. Among other things, it is a rather dark world where there are no bright rays of the sun.
