If you have not heard about Minecon 2018 then here's the great news from there. The developers decided to update one of the Minecraft Bedrock Edition biomes similar to what they did with the water environment in the Update Aquatic. You as an average player can vote for one biome: Taiga, desert or savannah. Based on the voting results, Mojang will decide which biome will receive the global update.
While voting is in progress StarkTMA_YT decided not to sit back and released its addon updating all the biomes at the same time. In fact, this is a very cool addon and it can well serve as a basis for further updates of the game.
Most likely, Minecraft PE 1.8 will be the next update with a biome prefix that will be selected. In the meantime, enjoy the excellent and most important natural features in the Biome Chooser addon.

New plants - berry bushes and also berries that can be plucked from a bush using scissors
