Yesterday we learned about the next Minecraft PE Drop, which will most likely be released this spring, perhaps even in February. The first 2025 update is focused on cows, or rather their species. Mojang went down this path again, repeating what they did with pigs in the previous 1.21.60.25 Beta, which can be downloaded from the link.
The next target for the developers was cows - the regular cow and the mushroom cow will get cousins in the form of a red and some other cow, depending on the temperature of the biome they live in. This is very similar to the new pigs, divided into those that live in cold and hot biomes.
Or to be more precise, an orange one that has settled in the badlands; in Minecraft Bedrock 1.22 (the update may be released in version 1.21 as a drop) new types of cows will appear, one of which has already been officially announced. Check out the TikTok below showing the mood of the developers and their plans.
Another item in the MCPE 1.22 changelog will be a new type of grass or bushes growing in hot biomes. It is probably food for red cows, who do not treat regular cows very well, judging by what the developers give us.
