Minecraft Bedrock 26.70.22 - Snow Bricks & Cold Sulfur Cube

Bedrock 26.70.22 continues the winter theme of the fourth drop, and this time Mojang has added building blocks, changed how mobs behave in the cold and introduced a new way to travel across water. Now for a bit more detail and as always, the full changelog is in the main post - Minecraft PE 26.70.22.

Snow Bricks:

A new set of snow bricks has been added, including slabs, steps and fences. The base block is crafted from four snow blocks in a crafting table, and the other pieces are crafted from it (recipes below). These blocks can't be crafted using a stonecutter yet. The texture looks a bit like white adobe bricks. The material doesn't melt near fire or lava, pairs well with ice blocks and is easiest to mine with a regular shovel.

Cold Sulfur Cube:

If you feed a blue ice block to a sulfur cube, it begins sliding rapidly across the surface of lakes and oceans, freezing the water's surface into ice. This effect in Minecraft Bedrock 26.70.22 works like the frost walker enchantment - the ice melts over time and prevents infinite block farming, while the mob itself acts as a living boat.

Freezing Zombies and Skeletons:

1. Zombies and drowned in cold biomes first turn into regular zombies.
2. They then transform into frostbitten zombies.
3. Zombies no longer take freezing damage in powder snow
4. Fragile ice no longer cracks beneath frozen skeletons.

Winter Villagers and Trading:

Villagers and their infected versions now spawn wearing warm winter clothing in ice caves. Solid ice bricks steps and slabs now melt correctly when exposed to water and lava, note blocks emit a bell-like sound when interacted with, and the wandering trader offers an ice crystal for two emeralds. Overall, these are the main changes in MC Bedrock 26.70.22.
